Polycrystalline Fiber Boards

Polycrystalline wool (PCW) fiber board is a high-temperature insulation material, typically made using a wet forming process with PCW fiber bulk and binders, designed for applications requiring excellent stability and high temperature resistance.  These products proved low thermal conductivity, low heat loss and heat storage, they are ideal for furnace linings, boiler ducts and stacks.

Features of Polycrystalline Fiber Boards

  • Low Thermal Conductivity

  • Low Heat Loss and Storage

  • Lightweight

  • High temperature stability

  • Erosion resistance

  • Resistance to High Velocity

  • Can be used in direct contact with flame

  • Excellent machining and cutting characteristics

  • Easy to Install

  • Resistant to Non-Ferrous Metals

  • Contains No Asbestos

  • High resistance to thermal shock

  • Homogeneous structure. Machinable

  • Good resistance to chemical attack except for phosphoric acid and concentrated alkali

Applications of Polycrystalline Fiber Boards

  • Industrial Furnaces and Kilns: Used for insulation and protection of refractory surfaces from thermal shock and chemical attack.

  • High-Temperature Laboratories: Suitable for applications requiring high-temperature insulation.

  • Aerospace Industry: Used in applications where high-temperature resistance and lightweight materials are needed.

  • Back-up Insulation: Can be used as a backup insulation layer to dense refractory linings.

  • Expansion Joints: Used in expansion joints to prevent thermal damage.

  • Support Mats: Used in catalytic converters and diesel particulate filters to reduce exhaust emission.
