Ceramic fiber is a type of high-temperature insulation material with low thermal conductivity. Nowadays, it is widely used in all kinds of industrial furnace systems, which has changed most furnace lining designs to an efficient, energy-saving, and high-temperature-resistant material.
Generally speaking, there are two types of bulk ceramic fiber manufacturing, one is called blowing ceramic fiber, which is made by breaking the high-temperature molten alumina and silica steam with compressed air. Another type is called spun ceramic fiber, which is made by dropping the molten alumina and silica on a fast-spinning disc. The bulk fiber can be used to made many kinds of shapes such as blankets, boards, textile, paper, modules, felt, coating, and so on. Blanket and board are the most popular and widely used shapes.
