    Product Overview

Alumina continuous fiber is a new type of high-temperature resistant oxide ceramic-based fiber material. The product has excellent high-temperature resistance, very low elongation and shrinkage rates under high-temperature conditions, and exceptional dielectric properties. It also boasts advantages such as corrosion resistance, low thermal conductivity, thermal shock resistance, and low porosity. Our alumina continuous fibers have good weaving performance and can be made into fabrics, tapes, sleeves, and three-dimensional woven preforms through special textile processes.

    Product Characteristics

Alumina continuous fibers are categorized into four types based on their oxide content:

Type 72 alumina continuous fiber contains ≥72% alumina. Due to its high silica content, the fiber is soft, making it suitable for manufacturing textile items. The downside is that its strength decreases at high temperatures (1250℃). It is used to create different shapes of thermal insulation seals through weaving, coating, and thick sewing, and it is suitable for fiber-reinforced resin matrix composites.

Type 80 alumina continuous fiber contains 80% alumina. The fiber has good toughness and weaving performance, allowing for long-term use in high-temperature environments (1250℃). It is suitable for producing various shapes of heat-resistant fabrics and can also form heat-resistant composite materials with resin and ceramics.

Type 85 alumina continuous fiber contains 85% alumina and can be used long-term in high-temperature environments (1250℃) although its strength decreases. It is suitable for ceramic matrix composite applications, providing the best thermal shock and thermal creep resistance for ceramic products. It can be used at 1375℃ in oxygen and steam environments for long periods and at 1700℃ for short periods.

Type 99 alumina continuous fiber contains 99% alumina, suitable for metal matrix composite applications. It has good strength at room temperature, and the 99% alumina content enhances the purity of aluminum products. The downside is its poor bending resistance and high-temperature strength. The product mainly consists of high-denier untwisted roving, which is used to produce lightweight, high-strength aluminum alloy products through winding or laying methods.
